The Lord’s Prayer

The Lord's Prayer

This hand-made needlework was brought in as an archival framing project because of its great importance. The customer’s mother had made this piece and, due to its age, it had begun to discolor and warp out of square. The customer wanted to prevent further damage from occurring. Our team was able to restore its shape by stretching or scrunching the piece during the sew mount process. Now this piece of needlework looks perfectly even and square around the edges. The sew mount is also an impermanent mounting method that will not damage the piece any further. The natural stained oak frame was an easy choice. The red mat for the background turned out to be the best color to help the white lettering and imagery to show through.
