Map Girl

This customer came in with the sole intention of preserving this piece of artwork with conservation framing. We agreed that too many layers or additional colors could disrupt the visual experience and decided on a simple design. There were an innumerable amount of mat and frame combinations that could have been used to really make this image pop but it is all about what the customer wants. We listen and inform before we design! So, upon her request, we kept the customers piece simple. The black frame does have a rustic silver inset to accent the woman’s hair and create a contrast between the light and dark colors. Then, we just put a white mat on top of the piece for protection.
