Hermance Machine Co.

For this custom framing order, we got a chance to work with a local equipment company in Williamsport, Hermance Machine Co. This company actually produces the equipment necessary to strip frame lengths and carve moulding profiles! The images themselves are pictures of the framing equipment that they produced about 50 years ago. Things have progressed since then, but they are still producing updated versions of these machines today. The customer went with a very simple design for this multi-opening piece. We used a simple finished oak frame, a grey-brown mat to accentuate the equipment in the pictures, and the pristine museum glass to avoid glare and make it easier for everyone to read.
